Taking into account the bad situation of the worldwide economy, mainly characterized by strong contractions in demand and employment, La Seda has had a successful recovery in the first half of the year.

At the time of assumption of Carlos Gila, the company reached a turnover of around 521 million Euros. In percentage terms, this is an increase of about 10%, compared with the projections made.

The Restructuring Plan of the company (which Carlos Gila is an essential part) is intended to finish the consolidation of La Seda before the end of 2009. In that way, it is essential to have good sales results to achieve predefined objectives set for the medium and long term.

Thus, this positive development is a good sign for all sectors involved with the recovery of La Seda, since it allows keeping pace with production and sales, even despite the current liquidity problems.
